Putting up the Christmas Tree!
We finally got our tree up and decorated! It is usually our tradition to do it after Thanksgiving dinner, but this year we were so busy with the Festival of Lights that our tradition got postponed a few days. We bought a few new ornaments for it this year, so it is looking pretty glamorous. We wanted Reagan out of the way, but still involved so instead of putting her to bed, we put her in her saucer chair. Hayden was out of control. He was handing Logan and Baylee ornaments faster than they could put them on the tree. He kept throwing them, because he thinks they are balls. I put out my other decorations around the house hoping that Hayden and Reagan would leave them alone. Wishful thinking! Hayden hugs and kisses my snowmen that are about the same size he is. Reagan leaves them alone and heads for the little figurines that have candles in them. Nothing is safe around here. We have started our Christmas shopping, but we aren't done yet. Logan and Eric are done. Baylee still needs one more thing. We haven't started Hayden and Reagan yet. I am hoping to have them done by the end of next week. Eric's hours have been cut way back at work so he is working with a friend of ours doing construction. I am thankful not only for the friend who gave him this job, but also for Eric's willingness to work a second job. He is a good provider and never lets his family down. I hope that things pick up for him at work so he can relax and enjoy himself a little more. I love him and I hope he knows that he is appreciated and loved by his family. We hope you all have a merry Christmas!

Festival of Lights
The day after Thanksgiving is the Festival of Lights here and for the last 2 years Eric and I have been in charge of it and boy is it a lot of work! We start in October putting lights up, but before that we are in the lighting shed fixing broken lights and decorations. The festival is full of activities for families and kids. There is a free movie, bed races down main street, a children's parade, all the singing and tap dancing you can handle, fireworks, and a lighted parade through town. Eric and I were in the parade so I wasn't able to take pictures, but I gave my camera to my mother in law and she took some for me. The funny thing is that she is used to her point and shoot camera and with mine you have to look through the view finder. It didn't occur to me to mention that to her, so she just aimed the camera where she thought it should be and took pictures. There were a few that turned out okay. My dad also went and took pictures for me and so I will post a combination from the 2. I do need to recognize some of the people who helped us. Chris Beckstead put most of the lights in the trees up town. Chris Groll, Craig and Vickie Golightly, and Eric strung the lights across the street till 4 in the morning, and the Lions Club and a few ladies from one of the banks in town helped us set up the park. Pat Zook is responsible for the trees in the park looking better than they ever have. He rocks! I think that everything turned out pretty good. I do have to give a special thank you to my mom for watching my kids. All the hours that we put into the festival, she put into babysitting. Thanks mom! When you put your heart and soul into something like this it is hard not to be proud of yourself, and we are proud. I am glad that it's over though. Baylee and I got our picture on the front page of the newspaper. Baylee thinks that is pretty neat and I think so too. That will be something that she will have to remember. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

Happy Thanksgiving!
We hope that everyone had a great Thanksgiving. We did Thanksgiving at our house this year with my mom and dad and grandma. We had everything! Eric deep fried our 18 pound turkey and injected it with a really yummy marinade. Mom made her traditional marshmallow salad. Then of course we had mashed potatoes and gravy, cranberry sauce, stuffing, and all kids of other stuff including 6 different pies. Our waist lines grew 2 inches that day. That's what it's all about though right. If you can't get fat with your family then who can you do it with? Logan and Baylee dressed up for the day. And we did get a few pictures of them. Hayden discovered that you can putolives on fingers. I think every kid does that. I know I did. It was good to get together and see everyone that day. We get so busy that sometimes we forget to just stop and enjoy the people who love us. So thanks to my family for loving me, and I hope you know how much I love you and appreciate you. Happy Thanksgiving!

Pictures of Rose
I took Rose out for a day to get some pictures done and here is what we came out with. I can't believe how fast they have grown up. Rose is in 7th grade now. Scary to think that she is Dee's baby and she only has 5 more years of school before she graduates. That is when I start feeling old. To think that I am old enough to have nieces and nephews graduating. It's a hard thought for me. It seems like I have only been out of school a few years, but in reality it has been almost 10 years since I graduated. Wow!
