I was out of town for Mother's Day, but I still would like to share with everyone how wonderful the moms in my life are.
My own mother has been through hell this year as you all know, and it's not over yet. She is the strongest woman I have ever known. She raised 4 kids and they weren't all as easy as I was of course. Ha Ha. She has had a child born to her very ill and was strong enough to let her go. She was there when I had my health problems and surgeries. She was there when I had my kids. She told me when I was in labor that "I was in too much pain to be dying!" She helped me cope when my son was rushed by helicopter to the hospital. She knows when to speak up and when to bite her tongue. She doesn't push her opinions on me, she just listens. She may not agree with everything I do, but she keeps it to herself. She is a terrific Grandma to my kids and I know I can always count on her. We didn't fight like most mothers and daughters do when I was a teenager. She wasn't around much when I was growing up, because she worked, but I think that gave us the chance to get to know each other again when I became an adult. Now she is one of my best friends. I love you mom and I appreciate all the sacrifices that you have made for me. We aren't the kind that speak openly about the gushy feelings, but I want you to know the things you do and the sacrifices you have made don't go unnoticed or unappreciated. I love you mom!
My mother in law, Jo has also been a rock for me. She is always very supportive and you always know what she is going to say. It's always "kay" or "all right" She tells us she is proud of us. She is my shopping buddy and one of my best friends. It took us a long time to get to this point, but I am sure glad we got here. She is very active and loves to spend time with the kids, taking them golfing. I enjoy spending time with her doing just about anything. We were actually camping with her last weekend and I enjoyed that very much. Love you Jo. Happy Mother's Day!

Where has the time gone? I'll tell you!
Okay, so I know I haven't posted for a long time. We have been very busy around here and I just haven't really made this a priority. I'm sorry! I promise to do better. So the last time I posted was when my mom got home from the hospital. I guess I will just pick up there. She is doing great! At first I went over there every day to get her lunch, but then a few weeks ago the doctor said she could start putting weight on her ankle. She can now leave the house, if someone drives her. She is supposed to start taking off the boot now. The doctor says she is progressing right along. Yeah mom!
We have been working on the house a lot the last few months. We painted almost every room in the house. We put in a new marble counter top, and all with the intention of selling our starter home and buying a new larger one. Unfortunately things didn't pan out that way yet. We will try again in a few months. Until then we get to enjoy some of the improvements to our home.
Baylee and Reagan's room.
I painted this room pink and brown to match their bedding.
We added chair rail and new trim on the window.
Logan and Hayden's room.
In here we painted and added crown molding.
We also trimmed the window and bought new blinds.
We trimmed out the windows and the doorway to the kitchen.
I painted it and we replaced the window valances with shelves for me to put decorations on.
We decided to make these shelves for most of the windows in the house.
The kitchen is not done yet.
We raised the cabinet above the microwave up about 6 inches.
We put in a new black marble counter top, but we haven't finished the back splash yet.
I also have not painted the kitchen yet, but it is just getting another coat of the same color.
I love my red kitchen.
Pretty huh?
Easter was kinda blah! We were so wrapped up in home improvements and house hunting and credit reports, that we forgot Easter until the last minute. We didn't get to go all out, but the kids colored eggs and had candy in their baskets and one special thing each.

Hayden and Reagan giving me some good smiles!
Hayden going through his basket and finding his new truck.
Logan got the Jonas Brothers CD.
We did something nice for ourselves and bought a new camp trailer. Brand new! I have to say that, because we have never been able to buy anything new before. All our cars, trucks, trailers, and 4 wheelers have all been used. We are taking it out this weekend for the first time. We are going to Almo to a wedding reception for Eric's cousin. I can't wait to use it. It has a big space in the back (toy hauler) for the kids to use as the play area. They can also all sleep back there. Eric and I have our own bedroom and the middle part of the trailer has a couch and a table that fold into beds, but we don't need them until Hayden and Reagan are older. We are very excited and can't wait for summer so we can go camping!
Outside showing the tip out.
That is where you get all the extra room.
Wonderful invention!
Outside showing the sport ramp door.
Kitchen area. This one has a bigger fridge than our old one and
the sink is about average size for a house, but huge for a trailer. It is actually usable. lol
We have a microwave too!
This is the living area.
The couch and table both fold out into beds.
This is the "master bedroom"
Hey it has more closet space than my bedroom in the house has. LOL.
I am glad that we won't have to pull a bed out and make it every day.
This will be much easier.
This is the back where the sport door is.
The kids can fold the beds up against the wall and have a big play area.
We could also put the 4 wheeler in here if we want.
It's small but bigger than our other one.
Logan has started baseball and Baylee has started Softball. Their first games are on Thursday. I hope they enjoy it as much as they did last year. I will keep you posted. I think that is a rundown of all that has happened in the time since I last posted.
